NDUGA - One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 503/Mayangkara Kostrad, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in Nduga Regency, Papua Pegunungan Province. On Thursday, 29 August 2024.
The 503 Task Forces, especially the Soldiers of the Quary Bawah Post led by Second Lieutenant Febri, conducted a security patrol in the Kemali Village, Kenyam District. During the patrol, the Team met two children, one sitting on the side of the road complaining of pain.

When they passed each other, the Patrol Team saw two children sitting on the side of the road. One of them was named Lala Murib, and she complained of pain in her leg. After being approached by the Soldiers, it was seen that Lala had an injury, which, according to her, she admitted was due to falling while playing with her friends. Lala, who could not bear the pain of her injury, had to sit on the side of the road, accompanied by her sister.
Luckily, while carrying out the patrol, a Medical personnel from the Task Force was also part of the Patrol Team. Seeing Lala's condition, the personnel immediately checked and treated her leg wound. After the treatment, the personnel gave Lala free medicine to consume for the next few days to heal her wound.
The actions of the Patrol Team in Kemali Village followed up on the emphasis of the Commander of the 503 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Gurbasa Samosir, regarding the importance of the Task Force's attention to the community's basic needs in the assigned area. After the treatment, Lala expressed her gratitude by saying, "Thank you, Soldier. God bless."
After receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, acknowledged the 503 Task Forces’ initiative to provide treatment to a child in Kemali Village. His words: "The 503 Task Forces' initiative is a testament to TNI's commitment to provide basic services for the community, especially health, to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region." This acknowledgment from the highest authority in HABEMA underscores the importance of such initiatives and their impact on the region's development.
